Travel
Students attending our Colorado workshops and classes, arriving by air, generally fly into the Colorado Springs Airport, which is about 20 minutes from the WakePoint Wellness Center and about 1 hour and 15 minutes from our Florissant location: The Nature Place. Another option is the Denver International Airport , which is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from the WakePoint Wellness Center and 2 hours and 15 minutes from The Nature Place.

Accommodations WakePoint's larger classes meet at The Nature Place in Florissant, CO. Smaller classes meet in Woodland Park, CO. Both locations are within an hour's scenic drive west of downtown Colorado Springs, CO. The Nature Place... relax, rejoice and rejuvenate! The Nature Place, privately located on 6000 magical acres, is a peaceful hideaway retreat center nestled among the pines and aspens of the Rockies...perfect for healing! You will love the scenic one-hour drive west from Colorado Springs. WakePoint students attending classes at The Nature Place are welcome to full use of the facilities at no extra charge, including an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, exercise and weight room, and an indoor multi-use game court for basketball, tennis and volleyball. Outdoor recreation includes tennis, volleyball, horseshoes, outdoor amphitheater with a fire pit for a sing-a-long or moonlight meditation, and miles of marked hiking trails. Students staying overnight at The Nature Place enjoy the comfort of a cozy studio apartment, each with a wood-burning fireplace, sitting area, full bath, refrigerator, full-size beds, and a meditation loft. Private energy healing sessions are available before and after class hours. Openings fill up quickly, so reserve your session early! Off-Campus Housing Students traveling from out of the area who prefer to commute to WakePoint classes rather than stay overnight at The Nature Place, can easily find accommodations within a half-hour drive. WakePoint's Woodland Park Vacation Home has rooms available year-round at an affordable cost for WakePoint students. It is located on Navajo Trail, on a half acre with pines and aspens, 30 minutes from The Nature Place. It offers private and shared rooms, with living and dining areas, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, and a deck with a hot tub! October through April: $59 per night single occupancy $69 per night double occupancy May through September: $69 per night single occupancy $79 per night double occupancy $17 per person per stay clean-out fee Listed below are links to other overnight facilities in Woodland Park, including motels, cabins, and RV sites. Town & Country Resort Eagle Fire Lodge Country Lodge Climate Colorado is beautiful and sunny practically year round, with average daytime temperatures of 50 degrees Fahrenheit in winter and 80 degrees Fahrenheit in summer. There is no oppressive heat or excessive humidity. Crisp, clear dry weather prevails during the colder months, with occasional snow. It is advisable to dress in layers in order to be able to adjust to the possible temperature swings prevalent in the mountains during any season. |
